Summary
“Go fuck yourself.” Those words carry weight for Adam now. They sting that little bit more. But this is lighthearted, playful, and Christian’s smiling at him so wide his eyes are crinkling in the corner into crow’s feet, and everything is so normal, normal, normal but nothing is the same.
“I will ‘cause you won't fuck me yourself, coward.” It's risky. It's so Before of him and an hour ago he never would've thought he'd been making this kind of joke After. But he is. And it feels just that little bit more that Before might turn into the Now too.
Or, Adam gets hurt during a match with Mox and Christian comes to check on him despite his better judgement.
