Summary
"Are you married?”
Christopher coughed so hard he nearly dropped his phone.
Buck choked on nothing.
Eddie said, “No.”
Theo turned to Buck. “Why?”
Buck’s mouth opened.
Eddie got there first. “Because you have to ask someone before you marry them.”
Theo considered this.
Then he looked at Buck. “Did you ask?”
“No,” Buck said quickly.
Theo looked at Eddie. “Did you ask?”
“No.”
“Why?”
Christopher whispered, “Great question.”

Summary
“You want a bruise?” Eddie mumbles—and it’s by sheer magic that Buck doesn’t drop to his knees and propose right there. Eddie doesn’t give him a joke about asking for a hickey at thirty-five. Nor a joke about asking for a hickey before they’ve even kissed, much less had a mere two minute conversation about what this is no—Eddie just… gets it. Because Buck isn’t asking for a hickey, or a love-bite, not in traditional terms. He wants a bruise. He’s already bruised all over from horrible, abusive people, he has fucking taser marks on the other side of his neck that are still tender.
Buck looks like he’s been through the ringer, because he has been through the ringer—they both have—and if he has to see them each and every day in the mirror for the next few weeks as they fade from red, to purple, to blue, to yellow, to gone—he wants to know that at least one of them wasn’t born out of cruelty. Not an injury, but rather a piece of art—one carefully painted out of this—out of them—with Eddie holding the paintbrush in the form of his beautiful mouth; his intoxicating, safe, undivided, irreplaceable attention.

Summary
“On the other side of this,” Eddie whispers. “Maybe we can try it.”
“Hm, okay,” Buck hums, apparently awake, but barely. “What are we tryin’?”
“I know now isn’t the right time. I’m not - - we’re not ready. But this next bit isn’t going to be pretty. It’s going to be hard. And I need you to know, so you have something to hold on to. So that I don’t forget what it feels like. What it felt like. We could - - we could try.”
Or, after the kidnapping, Buck goes through it. Eddie goes through it with him.

Summary
A gunshot rang out.
Or maybe it was the slamming of a cage door.
Buck jolted, thrashing out violently and hitting something hard beside him.
“I’m Derek!” He yelled out desperately; the memory of the sharp, biting sting of the taser still fresh in his mind and against his skin.
“Buck! Hey, it’s okay. You’re okay. I’m here.”Or,
The car, in fact, does not make it the final 10 hours back to LA, and Buck and Eddie have to stay in a motel.Bookmarked by moon_riv3r
