Summary
Drenched in green, Satoru opened his mouth to say something and then he vanished. Left on the floor was a pile of his clothing, blindfold, and crawling over the high collar of his jacket, a palm sized frog. A frog that promptly fled in the direction of the curse.

Summary
Satoru’s hand is wrapped around the back of his head, his legs tight around his waist. He holds Megumi for a moment, a second, half a breath and the flinch of an eye, but it stretches in that moment, cuts through the gore and destruction that rains down around them. He’s bleeding, Megumi can smell it, the bright iron scent of his blood. He’s bleeding, mutilated, grinning. He’s weeping power, more energy than human, more energy than his splitting body can contain, but he takes a moment. And Megumi curls into it and it’s been so long.
It's heavy, the weight of family and the pull of gravity.

“Hello, is this Megumi Fushiguro?”
It’s a man’s voice.
“Yes,” Megumi says. “Who is this?”
“Ah, forgive the multiple calls, but I have some very important business to discuss with you. I’m Kenji Tajiro, Satoru Gojo’s lawyer.”
A week later Megumi is sitting in a clinically white and sleekly modern office building in the heart of Tokyo. Jennifer is at his feet, alert, her leash held loosely in Megumi’s grasp. Yuji is sitting on his right, leg bouncing and clad in his “nicest pair of joggers”. He has Megumi’s other hand nearly crushed in his grip. The dog is alert, Yuji is a ball of nerves.
Megumi feels nothing.
