“Sorry,” a thin voice whispered into her abdomen.
Lauma felt her heart shatter right in her chest at Aino’s tone and wrapped her long arms around her head to cradle it gently, “Oh, mieloji, it’s alright. Don’t worry about it.”
With the young girl still clutched in her arms, Lauma slowly repositioned them until her back was against the wall, and Aino was tucked underneath her chin like a mother would hold her own daughter. She still shook with the force of her crying, although she remained entirely silent as if she was used to suppressing the childish emotions bubbling through her, a thought that filled her with sympathy.

They jump at his sudden appearance. “This isn’t what it looks like,” Azusawa says bashfully.
Touya doesn’t know if she really expects him to believe her. For the sake of all of them, he doesn’t say anything.
Azusawa and Shiraishi appear to believe they're doing a good job of hiding their relationship. Touya respectfully disagrees.
