Jean feels like her heart is exploding into a million little pieces, helplessness burning her up at a cool 15 million Kelvin. She sinks into the blood surrounding her and Peter, and heaves out a sob, forehead falling forward into their clasped hands as Peter's grip slowly slackens from her hold. Jean feels for a moment that everything around the two of them is exploding into a supernova.
