Summary
Once, V looked out at Night City from the thirty-third floor of Arasaka Tower- counter-intelligence, the branch that let her climb the ranks as the best field agent they had. But after being smote down for her hubris, this is the second time she's drowning in the mud. It will also probably be the last. While she might be able to save her rep, she knows she can't save her life.
A blaze of glory is all that's left for her. To get there, though, she has to survive as a lone merc in a bitter world, counting down the days by the tick of a bomb in her head named Johnny Silverhand. If she plays her cards right, he'll get her back to 'saka's door for one last meeting- just not as herself.
She's a dead woman walking, cleaved to a ghost that isn't hers. So every moment counts.
