Summary
Daeron the Daring flees from his kingship with his uncle, Gwayne. They seek sanctuary in a forgotten castle in the mountains where they meet Afwyn, a solitary woodcutter seeking out answers to past mysteries, and they play the part of father and son until Gwayne is well enough to travel. However, they soon find the mountains are protective, and the little towns and towers above this glacial river are not like to let them go.
Original character romance! Adoptive fathers living in the mountains!
