    Hiya, I've had this idea kicking around in my head for a series where each entry explores Kanthony through the lense of a different romance trope. This is my first entry and I'm looking forward to writing the others!

    Summary:
    Anthony Bridgerton hadn't thought of Kate Sharma as much more than is baby sisters best friend and college roommate. After all she's 11 years younger than him. Five years pass without a thought of her—until she appears in his kitchen on the eve of his sister’s bachelorette party. The woman standing before him is nothing like the girl he remembers, and Anthony finds himself grappling with an unexpected, burning attraction.

    At eighteen, Kate nurtured an embarrassing crush on her best friend’s older brother. But he clearly wasn't interested, and she refused to let a crush jeopardize her friendship with Daphne. After finishing her postgraduate studies in India, Kate returns to England to fulfill her duty as Daphne’s maid of honor. Upon reuniting with Anthony, she quickly discovers that her old feelings are closer to the surface than she thought—and they no longer seem quite so unrequited.

    Iris nods, biting down on her lip so hard he thought it would bleed.

    He wants to ask how it was but he also doesn't want to know.

    However, Iris beats him to the punch.

    “It was… quick,” she said, frowning and looking off to the side. 

    “Who–”

    “Does it matter?” Iris snaps. He almost stumbles backwards at the fury in her voice. “I’m never doing that again. Or seeing him again.”
