Luffy had been separated from his crew during a rush attack from the Navy and their new weapons, the Seraphim. At first, the sounds of distant fighting had rung loudly, but the deeper he traveled, the more deafening the silence became. He felt as though he was being devoured by the innards of Egghead Island.
As he turned back, he froze at the sight of a familiar silhouette.
"Ace....!" Luffy gasped, reaching for the figure– yet it wasn’t Ace.Wrong hair, wrong eyes, raven black wings, but the flames felt the same. The taste, the warmth, the feel-- it was mere smoke compared to Ace's brilliant bonfire.
