Summary
On the first of November, 1982, Sirius Black sees Harry Potter on the front page of the Prophet, displayed for the entire Wizarding World to see. He recognises the woman dragging him along in the photograph as Petunia of all people, and knows he cannot leave his godson with those people.
On the second of November, 1982, Harry Potter ceases to legally exist. The Ministry and the Obliviators swoop in, mangling together their own version of witness protection.
On the thirtieth of August, 1991, Severus Snape watches a strange, unknown boy in Diagon Alley, unaware of the trouble he represents.
On the first of September, 1991, Henry Evans from The Backyard of 15 Harrow House, Awlsworth Avenue, Gableham, Shropshire leaves the shed he's called home behind and starts his new life as a wizard.

Summary
Marcus Flint was big and burly with beef on his arms and strength in his shoulders. He was mean and dismissive and rough around the edges. He was bad, not in the malicious, conniving way someone like Draco Malfoy perhaps was, but bad in the way those boys that hung around his cousin were, with a sneer on their face, breath stinking of cigarette smoke and calluses on their knuckles.
He really shouldn't, but Harry wanted him.
