Summary
They had arrived in Skyhold to no fanfare or focus, but that didn’t last long. By nightfall, everyone knew the Champion of Kirkwall was among the Inquisition - alongside her more infamous brother. They caused quite a commotion in the tavern that night. Hawke was delighted to discover he didn’t need to buy a single drink.
“Where’s your sister?” A Charger - Stitches, maybe? - asked as Hawke knocked back a fourth drink.
“In the Chantry, probably, praying with her husband. And Maker, I wish that was a euphemism.”
Bull’s Company fell about laughing and Hawke glowed warmly. He’d found his people once again.

Malcolm and Leandra Hawke loved each other dearly and didn’t know when to quit.
Their oldest, Freya, is tired of being the reasonable one. The one trying to hold the family together whilst cracking jokes to remind everyone it’s not that serious.
It is that serious for Aspen. Kirkwall is no joke for a mage. Especially when your twin brother finds trouble, and Templars, around every corner. Aspen and Lennox Hawke came into the world together. They might very well take each other out of it again - and every one agrees it would be Nox’s fault.
And then there’s the other twins - or at least, the one that survived the flight from Lothering.

Hawke would come to regret those words when Lord Seeker Lambert turned his gaze to Kirkwall in the wake of the revolt at the White Spire. There was an old grudge to settle, and a rogue apostate to make an example of. For the third time in seven years, Kirkwall burned, the Gallows tearing itself apart under the Seekers.
In Val Royeaux, the Left and Right Hands of the Divine shelter Hawke from the wrath of the Order, and talk of the Inquisition reborn. Hawke has no desire to be Inquisitor, but his old friend Ailsa has disappeared and no one else is taking a stand. Reluctantly, he and Fenris agree to head to Haven, and the Temple of Sacred Ashes - where everything changes.

Dain Cadash probably shouldn’t be a Warden. He definitely shouldn’t be the last line of defence against the Blight alongside Cassandra, the only other surviving Warden in Ferelden.
He was saved from certain death by a Witch of the Wilds who seemed all too eager to offer her daughter, Bethany, up to the Warden cause. There’s a dog, an Antivan Chantry Brother, and a huge-horned Qunari who calls himself Bull. Together with a Necromantic Circle mage, a very broody ex-Crow, and a red-headed, freckled dwarf the unlikely crew set off to stop the Blight before it is too late.
(An AU series where all the Companions and Heroes are mixed up to see what happens.)
