Tsukishima's turning the corner from the vending machines when he finally sees Yamaguchi, sitting alone on a bench in front of the school, basking in the sunlight like a person with nowhere else to be. Before Tsukishima realizes it, he's already standing over him. "Where were you today?"
"Huh?" Yamaguchi looks up, and his brow furrows. "Tsukishima-kun?"
Tsukishima nearly stops cold. "Why are you... Why are you calling me that?"
"Oh, uh, sorry. Tsukishima-san, then."
Or: Tsukishima wakes up somewhere else one morning, and Yamaguchi treats him like a stranger. He makes the best of it.

Summary
When Yamaguchi accidentally sees Kuroo making out with Tsukishima against the walls of a gymnasium, it's at a group training camp with Nekoma, which makes sense. When they get back, Tsukishima's phone is suddenly blowing up and he hasn't mentioned Kuroo to Yamaguchi once. That makes sense, too.
...That makes sense, but Yamaguchi is starting to wonder if he and Tsukishima were ever friends at all.

tengo un amor tan grande por fledgingdm, sus fanfics de tsukkiyama simplemente están llenos de tanto amor hacia los personajes— y no solo de tsukishima y yamaguchi! los secundarios también, las amistades en segundo plano de ellos y las interacciones siempre son tan divertidas, refrescantes y humanas... es literalmente amor al arte. además las referencias que hace a otras obras, los headcanons que le dan mas vida a los personajes; todo junto hace que sus historias, sus fanfics sean lo más lindo que puedes encontrar en ao3. recuerdo que este fanfic me hizo leer orgullo y prejuicio y las demás novelas de Jane Austen. siempre que vengo a reeler esta historia recuerdo esto y le tengo mucho cariño por esto
