Summary
Eddie hadn’t really thought about Buck much over the next week. Not really. Not consciously.
He definitely hadn’t thought about those messy, sunlit curls—blond in a way that almost looked out of place under the harsh Texan sun. He didn’t think about that pale skin that stood out like moonlight against every dusty backdrop of El Paso. He certainly hadn’t spent any time thinking about Buck’s lopsided, mischievous smile, the way it hinted at trouble and pain in equal measure. And he definitely didn’t think about his eyes—clear, blue, and full of some strange mix of defiance and vulnerability.
No, Eddie told himself he wasn’t thinking about Buck at all.
Except… maybe he was.or
Eddie is 19 and lives with his family and his little son, Chris, in El Paso, Texas. Since the mother of his child left right after the birth, Eddie has to fight for him alone, even if it means having three different jobs. All but no distractions to give his son a good life until one evening a distraction with blue eyes and blond hair shows up at the gas station where he works.

Flufftober Day 31: Stay?
Buck never planned to weave himself into the rhythm of the Diaz home, yet Eddie keeps saying “stay” like a quiet prayer meant only for him—soft, steady, impossible to turn away from.
Between movie nights, school meetings, grief heavy as rain, and touches gentle as breath, Buck finds himself choosing the same thing again and again.
Home.
Them.
Always them.OR
Five times Eddie asked Buck to stay just a little longer… and one time he asked him to stay for good.
