It's been a week since Stede Bonnet banished the despicable Calico Jack from The Revenge, but despite choosing to stay, Ed Teach has barely spoken a word since the abrupt departure of his former crewmate. In an effort to ruffle things up, Stede announces another vacation for the crew, including the first annual Revenge Beach Games. But when Stede finds himself paired up with Ed, will he find a way to talk it through with his co-captain, or will he lose both the games and his dearest friend?

Summary
Edward Teach is fed up with his job as a concert pianist. He’s over having to play the same classical pieces over and over again to polite applause. When he walks into The Lighthouse, a newly opened queer bar, and spots a grand piano in it, he figures he might have found something new and exciting, and he gladly takes the new job the bar owner, Stede Bonnet, offers him. Maybe this bar (and Stede) can be the way out of his slump?

Summary
Stede feels a sob rising in his chest and tries to push it down, but with a warm rush of panic he realises he can’t. The sob escapes his mouth, wrenched from deep some dark recess inside his chest, and he quickly stifles it with a hand over his mouth. Not quickly enough, it seems. The man to his right glances quickly in his direction, then back out of the window.
But it seems like that sob wasn’t alone, it’s the first of many. Stede is powerless to stop them coming, one after another, and he curls into himself, hoping that the other passengers won’t notice him. It seems his luck hasn’t changed yet. Instead of being left to cry, he feels a warm hand, firm but gentle on his right shoulder.
“Hey.” It’s the man next to him, his voice low and concerned. “You okay?”

Stede Bonnet is running away. He has no idea where he's going, but getting there involves an interstate bus. Edward Teach is hiding. Travelling across the US by bus means he can avoid the pressure and stress that comes with his job, at least for a couple of days.
Maybe three days as seat mates on a bus ride from LA to Chicago is what they both need.

Summary
Stede Bonnet has always dreamed of space. As a child, it was his parents that held him back. As an adult, it’s the looming presence of protective Dome that stops him from mapping the stars. Stede thinks he might have figured out a way around the Domes, but he’ll need the help of a genius to do it. When he approaches the famous inventor Blackbeard, that decision changes everything and takes Stede places he thought he’d only gaze at longingly from afar.
