“I wasn’t the only one that heard it, was I?” Spooner spoke slowly, fear tightening her voice as they locked eyes.
“Fuck,” Astra whispered, breath catching in the back of her throat. “I’m supposed to be the target, not you.”
“If you don’t tell me what the hell is going on, I’m going to make you.”
Astra clenched her jaw, knowing that Spooner could and would get it out of her. One way or another.
