Summary
Within the week Lestat—the Lestat, a small part of Daniel can’t help but help but crow—is sitting in Daniel’s apartment, casting his unimpressed gaze over the clutter of Daniel’s human life.
Daniel decides to seize the bull by the horns. “So, where do you want to start? Top ten grievances about the book?”
With his eyes, Lestat manages to convey that a top one hundred would be insufficient to capture the magnitude of Daniel’s literary sins, but with his mouth he says, “I am not here to pick over what has already been said. If that is how Louis sees things, that is how he sees them.”

Summary
After Louis dismisses him, he doesn’t wait to be left alone with Armand, he doesn’t even bother collecting his luggage from his room. He hastily gathers his notes, leaves the burning laptop on the table. When he steps out of the elevator his phone pings with his flight details and ticket.
Not even five hours after he has detonated Louis’ and Armand’s life - and subsequently very likely his own, again - he’s on a plane back home.
