Aaron decided it was time to tell Jack the truth, but making a decision didn’t make it any more anxious. Spencer had always arrived as “Dad’s friend, Uncle Spencer” and always left before bedtime. But Hotch decided it was the time to change it. The next evening, Spencer stood on the porch picking at the buttons on his coat. He breathed in and out, trying to calm down his nerves and intrusive thoughts that were loudly screaming at him.

Spencer side-eyes Hotch, waiting for an apology or at least an acknowledgment or something, because this is the same guy that apologises for being too close to someone let alone touching them. Hotch is hyper-aware of anything to do with his body, most certainly physical contact, so there is no way he has not noticed this.
