Thalia didn't know how she got on a mountain, much less one in Greece, but she'd really like to have her regular gear and be among her sisters of the hunt, thank you. Why did she even have to wake up on a mountain of all places?
As much as Annabeth would like to explore the town she woke up by, given how everyone(including herself?) was wearing chitons, sandals and speaking Ancient Greek, she wasn't going to risk getting smited due to people mistaking her for Athena.
Look, the beach is nice, the ocean water is clearer than Percy's ever felt, but he doesn’t know where he is, what happened to his clothes, or how alone he really is. And the insistence of the ocean beckoning him beneath the waves is honestly unsettling.

When Bear begins dating Nikki, Sarah becomes infatuated with their every move. She never thought for a second Bear loved her, but she damn well had been starting to love him. And Nikki wouldn't betray her like that.
Maybe she would, like when she claimed all the poetry she'd written in high school about blood, and biting, and love being a desperate battle to enter into another's soul were Sarah's idea. So people would forget about Freaky Nikki and remember the cool, preppy, real Nikki.
Sometimes when Nikki's pupils leave Bear's body for half a second and meet Sarah's, they shudder, become brown instead of black. Yet they stay dilated, Sarah notices, and she remembers Nikki's old guilty puppy-dog glances from behind her new friends, like she was manipulated into betrayal by an unspoken social force.

Starts at the car scene but goes off the rails pretty quickly, and in Nikki's pov no less!This is going to be quite different from the movie.
In the movie, that OWW was originally meant for Nikki and Bear used it for himself in a moment of selfishness and despair.
But what if...
What if he did give the branch to her before she walked away, and she in turn made a wish of her own?
How would things change? How would that stay the same?
Influenced by my own insane thoughts, and the speech Bear did at the beginning of the movie to the waitress.
