Summary
When his long-time friend Dr Julian Bashir is caught in a building collapse, while working with the Federation relief Corps, Councillor Elim Garak is beside himself with worry. When it becomes apparent Bashir will not be recovering quickly or easily, Garak is baffled by Bashir's unwillingness to return to Federation space to recuperate. With the Cardassian medical system already buckling under strain and no other options, Garak is the obvious choice to help care of Bashir as he heals.
What Garak didn't reckon with is that proximity was a type of intimacy he'd scarcely had to deal with.Bookmarked by Mariath
