So why does Hermione feel worse? Is she going mad? She's hearing voices, and she feels more and more that her body is not her own. She suspects others know more than they are sharing, and she doesn't know who to trust.

The Ever After Cinderella AU (yes The Drew Barrymore one) that literally no one asked for except my own brain.
“Ok, now I’m ready”. Enid rounded Viper’s side again, put her foot into the stirrup and leant her weight into Wednesday’s hand as she helped hoist her up. Wednesday briefly weighed her options then of optimum positioning before concluding that if bandits attacked, it would be better for her to be in the front; so she could shield the countess with her body. And if she was pierced by multiple arrows then so be it, it sounded like a rather enjoyable outcome.
Yes it is a fairytale, yes it has women with swords, yes there is mutual pining.
