“You uh, you probably already have… supplies, but just in case I um… here…" Wayne tossed the paper bag at Eddie, hearing the dull thud of the foil packets inside as he caught them. "Hawkins High isn’t a world class education but I trust they taught you how to use those things, eh? Or do I need to grab a couple’a bananas?”
Eddie’s face went white as a sheet as he looked into the bag and saw a newly purchased box of condoms.
“Um, Wayne?” His voice crack was masked by the sound of the paper bag crinkling as he folded the top and set it aside. “What exactly do you think I need these for?”
OR
Wayne wants to make sure Eddie and his new boyfriend are being careful, but Eddie's confused... he doesn't have a boyfriend, does he?

Summary
Eddie Munson isn't a very good vampire. He doesn't like to hunt and has never bitten a human in the couple of years since being turned. The problem is that animal blood can only sustain him for so long.
Chicago, Illinois, 1993. Eddie follows the recommendation of another vampire to visit a 'donor,' a human who lets vampires feed off them for a living. What he's not expecting is for said donor to be a ghost from high school past in the shape of Steve Harrington.
"The price is $50 per bite," Steve explained with what sounded like a well-practiced spiel. "That's teeth breaking skin. You choose where you want to bite, but if it's below the belt I'm charging an extra $20 per bite." He paused for a moment, leveling a scrutinizing gaze on Eddie until the vampire nodded his understanding.
Steve's eyebrows lifted. "I'm going to need verbal confirmation, please."
And oh, that tone did something for Eddie. He'd probably be blushing if he had enough blood in his system to reach the right places. As it was, he hadn't had a proper meal in weeks. So he was definitely lacking a human-like complexion.

At 7am, he makes it to his road.
It’s closed. The sign practically floating across the dirt road, trees down and branches scattered. The weather had eased up, but the damage had certainly been done.
Eddie stares. Fights back tears, exhausted and anxious and terrified for his husband.
He tries to calculate how high the water is across the road, wonders just how much his hired truck could handle.
For a moment, he looks around. Counts the birds he spots in the murky sky to calm himself down.
And then accelerates right past the closure sign.

As Corroded Coffin's popularity rises, Eddie is torn away from his husband in order to tour.
A storm sends him home.
