Verosika’s smirk widened, her tail flicking with amusement as she leaned against the doorframe. “Oh, I know you’re ace as fuck,” she said, waving a clawed hand dismissively. “And honestly? That’s something I respect. Even big daddy Ozzie would respect that.” Her grin turned sharp, playful. “Besides, it’s kinda hot when someone’s that untouchable.”
Alastor’s grin didn’t waver, but the shadows at his feet coiled tighter, his voice dropping into something darker, more amused. “My, my. How refreshing to meet someone who understands the appeal of restraint.”
Verosika laughed, pushing off the doorframe with a sway of her hips. “Oh, sweetheart, in my line of work? Knowing what you don’t want is just as powerful as knowing what you do.” She winked. “And trust me, that’s the kind of confidence that drives people wild.”

I can’t believe this is still getting hits. I mean, it’s a good story, don’t get me wrong, but I’m better at writing now, so looking back on this is kinda weird.It’s gotten so popular, I feel like I should commemorate it somehow. Maybe a comic? Would you like a comic of this? My first Hazbin comic (Alastor’s Secret) was so popular I feel like I should make one of this too.

Summary
After his divorce, Lucifer takes his five-year-old daughter to coastal Louisiana for what’s supposed to be a temporary escape before real life resumes.
Instead, Charlie starts laughing again.The town begins settling around them in slow, dangerous ways: warm rain on porch screens, late-night music drifting over the docks, grocery store routines, sleepy festival evenings, and a local radio host named Alastor who somehow keeps appearing everywhere Lucifer turns. Lifelong resident, terrible influence, and chronic disruption to Lucifer’s emotional stability, Alastor gradually becomes woven into the shape of their summer until leaving no longer feels nearly as simple as it should.
But summers end eventually.
And no matter how much Louisiana starts feeling like home, real life is still waiting for them beyond the coastline.
Still, some people leave pieces of themselves behind.
And sometimes that’s enough to find your way back someday.

Summary
They glance at each other for a moment and then Alastor is taking Lucifer’s hand again and dragging him down the street and into an old cemetery. They weave through rows of above ground tombs, snaking around until Alastor stops at a park-like center. He tugs Lucifer to sit down on a stone bench with him under an enormous old cypress tree, its branches heavy with curtains of Spanish moss. Neither lets go of the other's hand.
“The sun’s gonna come up soon,” Lucifer sighs after a while.
Alastor hums, just starting to get his breathing back under control. “Do you vanish at the first touch of the dawn’s rays?”
“Nah,” Lucifer chuckles. “Vampires aren’t real.”
Alastor's smile is softened by moonlight. “Says the Devil himself who sits beside me.”
This night has been far more wonderful than Lucifer could ever have anticipated. He hasn’t felt this good in… he doesn’t want to think about how long. And he knows he will soon have to return to his chaotic realm and his strained marriage and his lonely existence… but not yet. He doesn't have to leave just yet.
