    Summary

”Don’t come any closer,” Spider-Man said, his hand raised threateningly, his fingers resting against a trigger mechanism nestled into his palm.
”Alright,” Tony answered. For a moment, they looked at each other – Tony stuck to the wall on one side of the alley and Spider-Man stuck to the other – then Tony opened his helmet to show his face. ”Hey, there”, he said. ”Nice to finally meet you.”

    ---

The Avengers are left shaken in the aftermath of the Sokovia Accords. With half the team under house arrest at the Compound, Tony finds himself seeking refuge in Avengers Tower and starts forming a tentative friendship with the neighborhood vigilante Spider-Man. A friendship which is quickly threatened by Secretary Ross doubting Spider-Man’s intentions and integrity.
Tony is left wondering who to trust, especially when Spider-Man manages to uncover the one secret Tony never wanted anyone to know about: the child Tony had with a woman named Mary Fitzpatrick sixteen years ago.

    Summary

Peter is fine, anyways. His boss might fire him soon, the Avengers might arrest him soon, the principal might expel him soon, but none of it has happened yet. And his dad—
“You didn’t get my coffee,” his dad says, halfway through his burrito. He has been in a state of low, simmering irritation all evening, and apparently this is how long it took for him to find a reason to blame Peter for it.
“You didn’t tell me to get coffee.”
    “Do you have eyes?”
“Yes,” Peter says. “I have eyes.”
“So you could have checked if we needed coffee without me telling you every little thing, Jesus Christ.”
    -
Peter just wants to make it to sixteen so he can escape this life and strike out on his own. He has a plan and nothing will ruin it.
Not even Tony Stark quite literally crashing into his life.

"Are you alright?" Bruce asks him quietly, aware of every little reaction.

Despite how terrifying the nightmare had seemed from outside, Tim recovers quickly. Startlingly quickly, in fact, given the boy's face becomes entirely unreadable. Bruce can't deduce anything.

That being said, he's not entirely unprepared for when Tim stares back at him, blinking the sleep away from his eyes as he says with a scarily calm tone, "I was… dreaming."

(On a snowy day, Bruce wakes Tim up from a nightmare.)

    Summary

You grow into the person who would’ve protected you as a child.

Alfred finds himself left with a little boy to care for. Not just any boy, but a Wayne, destined for greatness like his parents. He does his best to raise him, and it hurts his heart - really it does - but sometimes that means discipline.

Bruce knows he’s not good. Well aware that he deserved what Alfred gave him when he was a child. But now that he has children of his own, Bruce can’t fathom disciplining them like he was.

That doesn’t mean Alfred was wrong to inflict those punishments on Bruce. Bruce deserved it. Just not his kids.

    Never his kids.

Invokes both utter devastation and extreme pride towards bruce. He did what many couldn’t and deserves way more than the adults in his life gave him.
