I’m begging you, answer me. —Vox’s voice was a fraying thread of emotion; his vision was blurring, and he felt like he was drowning.— Don't just stay silent like you always do; answer me, damn it... —He clenched his fists; it wasn't even anger he felt, but defeat, pain... emptiness.—
Alastor stood slightly hunched, gripping his cane tightly. He felt his smile waver; he could sense Vox's frequency, but the pride was gone—it felt more like a plea now.
—Don't you get it, Vox? No... you never did. I never cared about you. You never interested me. I never saw you as... —He swallowed hard— ...my partner.
Alastor straightened up, forcing his smile to remain clean and intact. He snapped his neck a full 180 degrees, the movement accompanied by a sharp *crack*. Vox didn't even flinch; he just stared into those deep black eyes that had transformed into radio dials.

The radio demon grew up being a silent kid that lived in a world that he didn't understand, a voice inside him that pushed him to do some gruesome things.
