Summary
Years have passed since Hannibal killed Angelica, claiming her nephew for his own and bringing him back where he belongs- home. But the years have been tense; Will, now sixteen years old and growing in his independence, has pulled away from Hannibal, resuming his silence once more even as he experiences the growing pains of adolescence.
Yet Hannibal does not give up hope so easily. He knows that his boy will learn to love and accept him soon enough- especially when Will's habit of sneaking into Hannibal's bed has taken a decidedly interesting turn.
And when a copycat of the Chesapeake Ripper springs up, erecting vicious and beautiful tableaux across the city, Hannibal can't help but think of them as a love letter- even if the bodies link suspiciously close to the well-mannered psychiatrist.
