Summary
He moved slow and careful, navigating the floor of the room by memory alone. He plugged his phone into the spare charger hanging beside the bed and placed it on the side table. Only then did he peel back the blankets, untucking them from around Mingjue so that he could slip between them. He sidled up to Mingjue’s back, pressing his face gently to the back of his neck with an arm wrapping around his waist, and felt his chest go warm as Mingjue stretched out and relaxed into his hold.
“’Sang?” came the low rumble of Mingjue’s sleep heavy voice.
“Shh. Go back to sleep, da-ge,” Huaisang whispered. He pulled his arm up slightly, tucking it beneath Mingjue’s, and spread his palm across his chest. Mingjue made a soft sound and settled back down, his breathing evening out in his sleep.Or:
