    "You really don’t care, do you?" Seoyeon’s voice was quiet, but it cut through the air like a blade.

    Yooyeon ran a hand through her hair, looking more annoyed than anything. "I never said this was anything more than what it was."

    Seoyeon let out a bitter laugh, shaking her head. "Right. Because that’s what you do, isn’t it? You make people think they matter just enough to keep them coming back, but never enough to actually stay."

    Yooyeon’s expression didn’t change. "You knew what this was, Seoyeon. I never lied to you."

    And that was the worst part.

    Because she hadn’t.
