Two voices argued as they entered the flower store, the bell tingling as the door swung open with a soft creak.
A boy and a girl, siblings.
Gem barely looked up from her computer, her chin resting on her hand, it was late in the afternoon and these would surely be her last customers.
When the voices approached her desk and a boys question summoned her to look up and face her final customers, her heart lurched into her throat, her face heating up immediately, and it wasn't from humidity.
Easy last customers? No, not at all.
