Summary
There are many things that were not in Louie's best interest, particularly if they didn't generate any financial reward for him or involved any kind of risk. Heroism is one of these cases, particularly as he can sense that his brothers have one to lean toward. Now, if there ever was a hero who managed to make some profit, perhaps Louie could work with that, but no one like that exists.
…Or, at least they no longer exist, and were someone who would rather outsmart the billionaires than get any monetary compensation from them—including Scrooge, to Louie's surprise. Well, since he'd tempted fate before, if there ever came a more reliable source on someone like that, rather than an opinionated reporter, Louie would happily accept it. Too bad that such a person doesn't exist; namely, who would know about a superhero who openly avoided giving any information about themselves?

"Louie- Blink twice if you need to be rescued.." Huey and Louie turn to the source of the voice. Dewey's staring wide-eyed a few feet away, looking somewhere between astonished and concerned.
Huey suddenly regains his bearings, pulling Louie back up from the floor. "Oh my gosh, Louie! I'm so sorry!" He looks panicked. Louie looks dazed. He's slow to respond. Dewey speaks before Louie has the chance. "I guess Huey wins the bet..." The eldest glanced back to the middle triplet. "Oh yeah.. the bet." Louie raises an eyebrow at this, however Dewey remains oblivious. "Alright! Well!" Huey claps to gather attention."I think this concludes our sleepover." He quickly climbs the rungs of the ladder to the top bunk. "Would you kill the light, Louie?" Huey cuddles into his bunk facing the wall. He doesn't dare spare a glance to the youngest triplet. The two remaining triplets climb into the bunks. Louie hits the lamp after his head hits his pillow.For most of the night he stares at the middle bunk as his mind replays the previous events.
His heart races.

“Louie? Louie! Louie, where are you?” Dewey and the others sprinted to find him standing still, panting.
“All right,” Louie said breathlessly.
“I got it,” Dewey assured, grabbing a rusted pipe from the ground. He approached the hole cautiously, using the pipe to pry it open.
A possum shot out, squealing.
“Ahhhh!” everyone screamed.
“Damn it!” Dewey cursed, dropping the pipe.
They broke into nervous laughter, all the adrenaline pouring out at once.
“Give me… give me something to hold this door closed,” Dewey muttered.
“It’s a possum,” Huey began “Indigenous to the…”
Then another sound echoed from deeper inside the shack. The laughter stopped instantly.OR
