Summary
Context :
In a world where the old magic is recessing and new forms of magic emerge, a young automaton awakens. One and unique of his kind as far as he's aware, for he is sentient and possesses a soul. But with a soul and emotions comes the whole burden of life and he realises existing and living are two entirely different things.While Carmelio thought his past and purpose were clear to follow he learns that he is as much of a stranger to the world he is to himself, this having brought much pain and destruction around him. But while his first months of existence were peaceful he now exists in an already broken and shattered world were automatons are perceived as a threat to the people and their lives, and were a war is slowly approaching in the distance like a storm in the horizon.
A change is upon the world of Abaron and the transition towards an age of metal and technology seems to only be able to happen through blood sweat and oil.

Summary
An automaton and a devil, both having seen and faced too much already from life and the war raging into their world. But for now, they get to experience a slice of tranquillity even if brief and fleeting.
Context : Both Carmelio the automaton and Naphim the devil survived a near death experience. While a cave collapsed onto them and their group, Naphim managed to protect Carmelio's life almost at the price of his own, if it wasn't for the automaton's magic keeping him alive by a thread.
Now being forced to rest, Carmelio comes to visit Naphim regularly, offering them both a moment of respite and an opportunity to grow closer.Series
