Summary
Yet another "Taylor Becomes the Butcher" story, the Butcher's Tax is the tale of one Taylor Hebert and her journey after becoming the fifteenth Butcher. Taylor quickly discovers that sometimes, violence is both fun and the answer. And she also becomes Lisa Wilbourn's (biggest headache) new best friend as Lisa tries to keep Taylor grounded.
...Tries being the operative word. That carries a lot of weight. But Lisa is confident she knows what she's doing, befriending Butcher XV and trying to keep her from going full Butcher. There's absolutely no way her foolproof plan will have consequences. Right?
(A Worm AU in which the Teeth remained in Brockton Bay, Lung set up shop in Boston so the Teeth vs. the Empire is the main gang scenery, and the journey of Taylor Hebert adapting to being Butcher XV while dealing with other stuff. Also, Smugbug.)
