Summary
There's something inherently frustrating about Apple, not even taking into account her social life and personality and whole vibe. Raven thinks it's the dissonance—the frustrating distance between how long they've known each other, how objectively intertwined their lives are, and how impossible it is to approach Apple in the way that proximity warrants. It's like an itch just out of reach; a joint you can't get the right pressure to crack. Back in high school, they’d presented within a month of each other: Raven, and then two and a half weeks later Apple, like a call and response.
