Summary
Harwin Strong loves Rhaenyra Targaryen with every bone in his body. So when he sees her younger half brother struggling in the training yard he feels compassion for the boy. And so Hathree years before his death Harwin helps a lonely, neglected, and curious Prince. What begins in sympathy evolves when Aegon learns of the shared blood of First Men in their veins. In Harwin Aegon gains a mentor, friend, and father figure rolled in one. And slowly but steady Aegon distances himself from his mother and grandfather.
Everything changes when Harwin Strong dies protecting some of the small folk from bandits on the Gods Eye. Soon after Laena Velaryon dies and the court goes to Driftmark for the funeral. Aemond claims a dragon and then blames Aegon in the bloody aftermath. In his panic Aegon looks into the crowd and sees Stark bannermen. He sees an elderly women that shares features with his mother with Runes tattooed on her skin.
And so Aegon Targaryen invokes blood rites starting a chain of events that will end with a Prince of the Blood in the North changing the Dance of Dragons forever more.

Summary
All members of House Royce are exiled from Kings Landing after it is discovered Rhea Royce was giving her cousin Aemma Arryn moon tea to prevent a pregnancy for the thirteen year old. The King and Queen face opposition from their son and grandsons but a ship still departs for Gulltown. But not before Yoren, elder twin of Rhea, curses the monarchs and their daughter Gael.
Due to Rhea being seven moons pregnant the party is slow to travel to Runestone. Attacked by the mountain clans Rhea is the only one left alive when her labours begin. Meanwhile in Kings Landing Daemon is kept under lock and key after numerous attempts to escape the Red Keep. On Dragonstone the Cannibal attacks the castle, lays waste to nearby villages and destroys most of the dragon eggs before flying North.
Rage calls to rage and blood to blood. A dragon of the vale has awakened.Series

Rhea Royce, descendent of Visenya and the Conqueror, is sent to Kings Landing when she is fourteen to foster in the capital for two years and to help her cousin Aemma prepare for her wedding. Rhea goes knowing that her best friend is cursed along with the entire bloodline of Rhaenys. She resolves to keep her herself, even though that is impossible when she is haunted by the ghosts of Visenya and Maegor themselves.
Despite her best efforts Rhea falls head first down the rabbit hole when she meets Daemon Targaryen, named the Rouge Prince since he was twelve. What blooms between them would damn all of House Royce and she knows it can never be.
But the heart wants what it wants. And Rhea knows she must tear her own heart out in order for her family to survive and thrive in the coming storm.
