His arms pull the plushie closer towards his chest, more or less his stomach as it’s twisting and turning—the whirlpool hasn’t stopped for even a moment—and the spinning in his head has his vision blurring, eyes burning as he feels tears gathering despite his eyes clenching shut so that they don’t fall. He thinks he hears something beyond the crackle of the fireworks above him, but ignores it because he’s trying so fucking hard not to cry right now.
Bakugo regresses, unknowingly, for the first time.

And—I’m not saying this to scare you or anything—but what if you feel small again and I’m not there? ”
Kirishima was so focused on his laptop that he couldn’t see the way Katsuki’s face dropped.
“You’re your own person.” The redhead continued, shaking his head. “And I’m not gonna make you do anything you don’t want to. It’s just..” He trails off, then inhales, “I don’t wanna see you cry again, man.”
Bakugo and Kirishima finally talk about age regression.

Summary
Katsuki’s running on autopilot as he wanders through his thoughts, allowing Kirishima to lay the covers over him as he lies down on the bed. Of course, he reaches for his plushie and holds it close.
“Kiri..”
“Yeah?”
“I don’t..” His feelings bubble up in his chest and he pushes his face into his plushie, “I don’t wanna be by myself.”
Kirishima’s heart swells as he rests his hand on Katsuki’s back. “You won’t be, I promise.”
Katsuki struggles to be honest with himself and pushes his needs and his friends away, and things go downhill from there. (..But it all turns out great in the end!)

Summary
Katsuki tries to take a breath and chokes helplessly when he finds that he’s unable to. He tries again and, this time, cold and stale air fills his lungs instead of the viscous liquid. Another cough, and he’s lurching up in his bed, grabbing around his throat and desperately gasping for air as he’s drenched in a cold sweat. Everything around him felt cold and damp, even where his head was lying on the pillow.
Still reeling from the shock of waking up, his senses coming back slowly, but the dampness remains. In fact, he’s more than damp. He feels wet.
