Aziraphale tries to feel good about making a difference in Heaven.
He really tries.
The truth is, though, that he is just utterly, devastatingly miserable and can't stop thinking about everything he has lost to end up here. However, he is determined to see this through, to do good, and maybe somewhere along the way everyone (especially a very particular demon) will acknowledge his efforts.
But when one day news about Crowley's supposed death reaches him, Aziraphale absolutely loses it and suddenly nothing else matters anymore.

While Aziraphale is busy playing a very dangerous game up in Heaven, Crowley hates every single second of it.
But he also knows that it might be their only chance to thwart the end of everything before it's too late.
And so – between schemes and mishaps and shenanigans, between reluctant allies and unexpected revelations about each other – they just might make it out alive.
They only have to deal with The Metatron, search for Jesus, try not to get killed by Lucifer in particular and all of Hell in general, and team up with a bunch of stuck-up (ex-)archangels.
Simple enough, right?
