Summary
It wasn’t love at first sight, far, far from it, but Envy was drawn to Edward Elric, like the tide to the moon. Envy was Envy, after all. He wanted all the things he knew he should not and felt slighted he had to fight tooth and nail for it. He imagined Father would hardly approve, but Father wasn’t always around to make sure his “children” were behaving. Envy had been coveting for a lifetime, and he wasn’t about to stop now.

Summary
Envy’s lip twitched as he told himself to forget about it, at least for now. Today wasn’t about him, anyway. It was about getting Ed off, and giving him as requested: Envy the homunculus, not Envy his other half. Vicious, cruel Envy, before Ed had opened his eyes and showed him he was much more than that. The muscle, the barker, and the clean-up crew, depending on Father's mood. He tried not to flinch at the memories, the sound of Father easy to remember, brooding and cold. “Clean up, fix it immediately, and don’t come back until you do.” Even then, Envy’s foot twitched restlessly as he focused on his reflection.
