Summary
He likes to think, perhaps selfishly, that the dust of Din’s bones might one day be mingled in amongst his, so they can brush along the crests of the dunes as nothing at all, for all eternity.
He knows it’s unlikely. Din belongs to a legend, existing in the fabric of a story that must be told, and Cobb knows that story doesn’t end on Tatooine. He was made for grander things than aging and fading away. He was made for history.
For now though, in this little sliver of time they have together, Cobb will take all he can and cleave it close. It’s his time now.Series
