As sad as it sounded, however mean she was, Aelwyn Abernant was the closest thing he had for a friend the last few years. They were just two teenagers, not so subtly manipulated by forces beyond their control. It helped to be honest and open with someone, even if that someone was a stuck up, rich, high elf.
Riz would have still killed her if Kalina ordered him to, but he’d like to think that he’d hesitate a bit.
