Summary
It felt hotter in the room as Hawks kept touching his belly, his palm a solid weight against the muscles of his lower abdomen. Hawks did nothing more than that. Summary
Dabi had spoken frankly about Endeavor’s psychological and physical abuse in his broadcast. So whatever Dabi had left unsaid, whatever he hadn't been able to disclose in that footage… it had to be something truly awful.
For a moment, Aizawa couldn't find his voice. All he could think of was Hitoshi as a young boy, and Eri who was still so small, and how small Touya must have been. Unable to protect himself against the massive wall of a man that was Enji Todoroki.

Summary
Dabi didn’t have to earn his place at Hawks’s dinner table. He was allowed to eat what he wanted to eat, and when he wanted to eat. Hawks never pushed him to finish a meal, just reminded Dabi that it would be good to get something in his stomach. Dabi was still allowed to control the pace at which he wanted to heal. And it was healing, what he was doing. Against his better judgement, this is where he had arrived. He needed to get stronger, he couldn’t stand up to his father otherwise.
