Summary
4 September, 2017: It has been nineteen years and some months since the Battle of Hogwarts; and three days since Hermione and her husband Ron put two of their children on the Hogwarts Express. In darkness, Hermione now wakens from a sound sleep, suffering a fierce headache, body aches all over, and many confused thoughts.
The reason for Hermione’s miseries: Potions that for the past twenty years have Confunded the thoughts of the former “brightest witch of her age”—those potions all are wearing off.

AU. Two days after returning home from fifth-year classes and O.W.L. exams, Daphne Greengrass finds on her pillow, a letter from her much-older self. Included in this letter is a Muggle envelope addressed to Harry Potter from his much-older self.
Daphne’s letter reveals that elderly Daphne and elderly Harry, after each had outlived a spouse, got married. Marrying Harry Potter, elderly Daphne assures young Daphne, was the best thing to ever happen to elderly Daphne in her long life.

Sirius Black’s just-read will emancipates almost-sixteen-year-old Harry Potter and grants him the Lordship of the House of Black. In turn, emancipating the Potter Heir turns him into Lord Potter. Harry Potter gaining two Lordships means he’ll need two wives. Young Daphne, why wait till you need a cane before you become betrothed to the best man in Wizarding Britain?

AU. 5th September 1994—four days after Dumbledore has informed Hogwarts students that the school will be hosting the Triwizard Tournament this year, Harry plays a hunch and sneaks off to Gringotts. The news he hears is beyond bad. As soon as Harry’s temper cools, he begins to plan. Eight weeks later, on the day of the Goblet of Fire drawings, Harry carries out his plan. When the Goblet of Fire spits out Harry’s name, Dumbledore is shocked by what Harry does next.
