I was so excited to see you've written another fic for this fandom (i remember reading your star wars fic years and years ago and being really struck by it then. always so good to find familiar names in new fandoms)
this is such an amazing grown up story, i think you're so precise about thomas and his insecurities and assumptions but also about what vincent sees in him and how charmed he is. that they are really playful and tender with each other. the back and forth of the two timelines made me want to go back to the start immediately, it goes in a nice circle. i think you combine so well in this fic the day to day life of the church (which I always love so much in conclave fic) and them negotiating intimacy and sex in this new (to them) and honest way. and contrary to ur note I do think it's hot haha, in a real human way, not fantasy pwp way
