Aww thank you for your reply! It's always so nice to get to talk to people who enjoy the same fandoms and characters as me. I really wish we had gotten more about Kyojuro and Obanai's friendship in the series though I understand why there wasn't a lot of room for it. It's just nice to think of Obanai having a family after everything he has been through, and I feel like Kyojuro and Senjuro especially would have been very welcoming to him. I think Obanai admired Kyojuro a lot and considered him a very good friend, probably even a brother, so I imagine his death was really difficult for him. It was sad having to dive into that for this story, but I hope it was kind of cathartic by the end at least. I'm very flattered that you thought so highly of it and that it's a story you'd like to revisit someday.
