I've just reread this wonderful story and really, not every story may be reread and enjoyed as much as we discover it for the first time: the quality of writing in this one ensures it will seem even better after the second or third rereading. I love this John, less broken and so much happier; your Sherlock makes me laugh and coo and swear (and tremble in fear as my daughter is exactly the same), your Mycroft... nearly broke my heart. Which Lestrade healed with his looks of a handsome, mysterious stranger appearing suddenly in a gothic story. Thank you!
