    Thanks for reading! I know MCD (and chloenette for that matter) isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, so I appreciate you giving this fics chance.

    The reason Marinette didn’t just transform is that other people could see into the room - ergo lots of people could have learned her identity and she was trying to avoid that.

    Chloenette certainly doesn’t make sense canonically, which is why I had the time skip here. I consider this a world of sorts where Chloe is a little less…Chloe in the future (to be honest probably a world where season 4 didn’t take place). But yeah I understand why people don’t like chloenette because of the bullying dynamic, though I personally enjoy it in the occasional fic.

      Ohhh, so that's the bit I must've overlooked. Makes sense now, thanks for clearing that up.

      I'm generally focused on the love square but I don't say "no" to some other ships either.

      As for Chloe being less... Chloe. I think she has quite a lot of potential to fall on her nose hard enough to see the world from a different viewpoint and maybe understand that her behaviour is less than useful to her in her future. In canon, she's just a kid with one parent who ignored her to the point of "accidentally" forgetting her name and another parent who has a lot on his plate with his job but is determined to make up for all of this by trying to fulfill her every wish before she's done thinking it.
      Children need love and affection and someone who respects them and takes them serious enough to give them boundaries and explain them. Chloe had none of that.

        Yeah! I agree with the right kind of influences Chloe could change things around for herself. I doubt canon has any intention of redeeming her at this point, and tbh I'm not even super invested in whether or not that happens for her in canon after this season, but I do enjoy exploring that in fics, whether through reading or writing.
