   Wow, this is really beautiful. I love the recurring use of illusions, how nothing in Loki's self-narrative is as it appears to be; the moment where he literally makes himself disappear takes on a whole new significance. Haunting and gorgeous.

      I found that really powerful, too. It's not an image that would normally be seen as so heartbreaking except for the context astolat creates -- but context is everything.
