Heheh... Yeah, well... Alec being out of his depth out of a military situation isn't hard to imagine when we see how awkward he acts with his children.
I also fancy accidental first meetings. So the idea of him mistaking Ellen for his date was quite funny to work with. ;) And I like the idea of her being an independent accomplished woman by herself other than just being Alec Ryder's wife. So... Here we have a woman who wasn't expecting to find her 'soulmate' that day just enjoying herself when he falls face first into her life
