      They did indeed die, and Klein does indeed blame the Orthodox Gods.

      All the Orthodox Gods.

      Including the Evernight.

      Maybe especially the Evernight. She's the Goddess of misfortune afterall and he did give Melissa a Benson those amulets to protect them from misfortunes~
