    I find inexplicably cute that Cheong Myeong says "A-Jiu" since in korean the informal affix is -ah (as "Cheong Myeong-ah") or -ya, seems to me like they could have called "Jiu-ya" and it sounded so weird to him, that he explained what is his supposed informal affix, oh my god, this is adorable. Maybe if Shen Jiu gets taller, since Cheong Myeong is canonically shorter than most, he calls him "Xiao-Myeong" or something, i don't knowwwww aaaaaaaaaaaa

      yessss i've touched upon that in the wrong maps a/n like

      my headcanon is that they both would use pet names closer to the other's heart. so CM would go with A-Jiu and Jiu-Jiu and Jiu-er but also sajae in more official contexts, while SJ would go more into sahyung, and MAYBE yeobo ("Darling" or "honey"), naesarang ("My love") and Seobangnim (“Husband”) on special occassions

      omg yes i absolutely planned on SJ being taller than CM tho i'm not sure how happy SJ would be with using a nickname that has Xiao in it 🤔 if u have any suggestions on non-name petnames i'd be all ears tho!

      also idk what Shen Jiu would think about Jiu-ya, but it defo would make me think i'm writing a Trafalgar Law dialogue 😂 so alas but A-Jiu it'll mostly be from me!

        I didn't think that actually as a loving nickname xD more of a failed way of ragebaiting Cheong Myeong since he doesn't find "xiao" as annoying as Shen Jiu(?)

        I actually headcanon that Shen Jiu has these nicknames that sound derogatory because he doesn't like to be soft due his trust issues (justified) but to the point he's endeared, the derogatory name has been normalized. I don't know your plans or how it sounds to you since i don't speak english, but i can totally imagine Shen Jiu calling Cheongmyeong "Delinquent" AKDKAKDKA or something with "rabid" (? I don't think I'm being of help tho
