    LMAO yeah, I definitely am still using a decent number of those. 💀 I'm trying to shift a bit to *describing* the mood of the silence / what they're physically doing in that pause, but it's a learning process! They're actually partly a holdover from when my stories were primarily comics, and there would be a panel or two where there's a pause in conversation for characters to react during an awkward silence. If I pull from that again, I'll find ways to fill the space the way I would in the comics, because there isn't *absolutely nothing* happening during an awkward pause.
