Mira's free hand, which had been stroking her hair soothingly, stopped; something about the wobble in Rumi's voice and the ripple of red through her patterns told her that this was not going to be a request for more paracetamol. Mira hummed against her temple, attentive. "I read something the other day... Something that can take the edge off cramps..."
"What was it, Jagiya?"
"Well..."

Summary
Mira felt a tap on her shoulder, accompanied by a voice. She recognised the voice long before she recognised the name it had uttered. A name she hadn't been called in years. A name she'd never wanted to hear again. She shook it from her head. A hallucination, surely? That seemed about the only reasonable explanation.
But seconds later her blood ran cold when she heard it again, clearer this time, along with a second insistent tap to her shoulder. She turned slowly, silently pleading with the universe. It was futile.
Looking back at her was a face she had long since tried and failed to erase from her memory.
"-you would really ignore your own mother?" The woman asked incredulously, lips pulled thin.

The kiss was steady and grounding. Neither cared for rushing the contact. Zoey's free hand found Mira's waist, venturing a little way under the fabric of her shirt to trace circles on the side of her stomach. She hummed as she felt a hand pressing gently against her shoulder blades pulling their bodies flush. The cherry flavour of the girl's lip gloss danced through her mouth. A tongue brush questioningly against her teeth; the maknae enjoyed the way her girlfriend melted a little as she tilted her head to deepen the kiss. They were both entranced in the tender somatic connection.
So neither registered the crunch of gravel as a car pulled onto the driveway. Or the dulled thud as the drivers door shut.
Zoey broke away, peppering the dancer's jawline with kisses as she descended. A bite on her collar bone drew a low moan.
"Well, well, well."

Zoey, Mira and Rumi head back to Burbank to stay with Zoey's family. But how long can their relationship stay secret when Zoey accidentally reveals all to her brother on day 1 of their stay?
